In 2018, Sister Mary, head of The Bethany School and Girls’ Orphanage in Palestine, asked for help to buy a new van. The RNA contributed toward the $40,000 needed, for Sister Mary to not only buy the van pictured, but to have additional funds for medical treatments, school supplies and other pressing needs.  The orphanage is situated in an area where walking on the streets, especially for girls, can be dangerous. In this van they now have the ability to go on outings, to places like the beach, where they have the freedom to just be kids and play.  They can purchase food in bulk at a lower rate and even attend church services at other monasteries.
