May 10, 1921 – August 10, 2018

It is with profound regret that the Board of the Russian Nobility Association announces the death of our beloved secretary, board member, patroness, and friend, Irina Dvorjitsky SanFilippo, who reposed in the Lord yesterday morning.

The reality of this loss to émigré life has not yet sunk in. Irina was one of the last survivors of the oldest part of the Russian Emigration, those who were born on what could still be described as a piece of the Empire, Constantinople before the handover of the embassy and the naval base to the Soviet Union. She outlived the USSR and was a vital and accomplished member of American society, while maintaining by choice her free and cultured Russian identity. Please keep the newly reposed servant of God Irina in your prayers. Eternal Memory!

Memorial and funeral arrangements are as follows:

Saturday 8/11 – 5 PM – Panikhida at Synod (probably Lower Church);
Sunday 8/12 – 7 PM – Panikhida at Synod Cathedral;
Monday 8/13 – 7.30 PM – Panikhida at Synod Cathedral (body will arrive in late afternoon);
Tuesday 8/14 – 10 AM – Otpevaniye at Synod Cathedral; burial in Holy Trinity Monastery cemetery, to follow that afternoon.
